Visualize Rhum in the middle of the center petal of the navel lotus at the root of the navel (three fingers below the navel). Here, Rhum catches fire, resembles lightening and burns very brightly. Using the ring finger and thumb of the right hand to control the nostrils, close the left nostril with the ring finger and exhale through the right nostril. With the exhalation Rhum rapidly moves, one with the breath, up the pingala nadi, to the right of the spine, touching each chakra, burning and removing all negativities. Emitting flames, it will move up the back, the back of the head, the top of the head, crossing the third eye center, exiting through the right nostril giving off smoke into space as it goes up to the full moon to be visualized in space outside of the body.
Hold the breath out for a few seconds. While at the full moon Rhum becomes saturated with bright white nectar. Close the right nostril with the thumb and inhale through the left nostril as Rhum peacefully comes in with the breath. It crosses the third eye center, top of the head, back of the head, down the back (left of the spine) to the root of the navel. As it moves it cleanses the nerves and chakras. Pause a few seconds, holding in the breath, as Rhum catches fire at the root of the navel.
Again it will make its path upward with the exhalation as described above. Always inhale through the left nostril and exhale through the right. A cycle is one inhalation and one exhalation. Repeat the cycle 12 - 15 times each day. Begin the practice with exhalation, but do not count that breath as part of the first cycle. Begin to count on the first inhalation. Rhum practice should be done in the morning on an empty stomach.
